Superfood for flat stomach!

Since that summer is coming, many women are already preparing to appear in a bathing suit. Since exercises are not enough, here are some foods that can melt some fat gained during cold days.

If you want a flat and sexy stomach, you definitely need to exercise regularly. But besides that, there are some foods that can help you melt the fat on the stomach and contribute to the strengthening of the muscles on that part of the body.

Yogurt

Many women are consuming yogurt because they have seen its “magical power”. Yogurt is excellent for flatulence problem because it stimulates faster bowel function and enables easier digestion. It is recommended to consume at least one yogurt a day.

Green tea

Three cups of green tea a day stimulate metabolism and burn 30 calories. Green tea is also good for burning cellulite.

Avocado

Avocados contain unsaturated fats that fall into the category of healthy fats. Studies have shown that avocado is excellent for the feeling of satiety. In addition, it is proved that avocado has very good effect on the area around the waist and helps reduce fat in that part of the body.

Blueberries

Several studies show that blueberries are a true antioxidant that stimulates faster burning of calories. They are also increasing blood flow and preventing accumulation of fat in the area of stomach.

Chocolate milk

You are probably wondering how chocolate milk helps. Chocolate milk contributes to muscle building, and that is why it is a common drink of many athletes.

Bulgur

For those who do not know what is bulgur – it is a cereal food made from several different wheat species, usually sold parboiled and dried, with the bran partially removed. Bulgur is excellent because it contains fibers that aid digestion and metabolism, and reduce fat cells.

Avoid traps of false diets!

Many diets promise quick and remarkable results, but only few of them are actually effective.

There are four key factors that you must consider when you’re going on a diet: nutrition, age, sexbody needs. and First of all, say NO to all diets that are promising a huge weight loss in just several days. Do you want to lose weight? Watch out for traps of false diets!

Rule No. 1: Diet must not burden you

All speedy diets bring a lot of stress. You are required to completely change they way you eat and dramatically reduce food intake in a very short time. In return, at the end of diet, you will be beautiful and slim like never before.

Although it sounds tempting, it is miles away from the truth. This kind of diet is doing damage to your body and it is literally forcing your body to submit itself to this new way of eating.

Rule No. 2: You must be in control of your diet

Quick and short diets are demanding of you to completely comply. That is why you may find out pretty soon that the only thing that is on your mind the whole day is food, food and only food. And if this is the way you are thinking - “Oh, I would really like to eat a chocolate now, but I can’t because I'm on a diet” – then watch out. Daily calorie counting is not healthy, nor is it fun.

Diet should be your way of life - listen to your wishes and adapt your diet to your lifestyle. If you are often hungry after eight o'clock, do not force a diet that prohibits the evening meals. You must avoid strict limits and prohibitions, and adapt them to your habits and personality.

Rule No. 3: Lose weight gradually

You can recognize false diets because they promise weight loss in a very short time. A good example of this is a weekend diet. Considering that it is based on a strict regime, you actually may lose three kilograms in three days, but do not be deceived. By the end of that diet, you will hardly wait to sit down and eat decently, and then you will compensate all the weight that you lost.  Overeating usually continues and the next day. The result: not loss but extra six kilograms.

When you’re loosing weight, it is essential to lose it gradually. This means that in one week you must not lose more than 2 kilograms. In this way, you will prepare your body for the new way of eating and it is less likely that you will be overwhelmed with desire to eat.  Your body will work for you, and you will avoid the vicious cycle of loosing and gaining weight.

Rule No. 4: Do not force perfectionism!

False diets promise perfection. Unfortunately, in reality that is not possible, so stop torturing your body. It is difficult to follow diets that are demanding miracles from you. Feel free to put some dark chocolate or other favorite treats in your fridge. They are not the problem if you don’t over do it.

Diet shouldn’t be extreme, but diverse. Keep in mind that losing weight should be gradual, with no rigid boundaries and pressure. You must provide the best possible treatment to your body.

Spice your kilograms

Apart from giving a special touch and a distinct aroma to food, spices have positive impact on our health. It is also proven that some of them help lose weight.

In our daily nutrition, we are increasingly using spices that are enriching even the simplest meals. Regardless of whether it is a salty meal or a delicious dessert, these plants help us maintain a healthy and vital body. They have positive effects on circulation, immunity, liver, digestive system... But some spices also help us melt kilograms.

These are the top five.

1. Cinnamon

One teaspoon of cinnamon a day lowers blood sugar levels and stimulates easier digestion of carbohydrates. It also lowers the bad cholesterol from seven to 27 percent and cholesterol in general between 12 and 26 percent. Its extra advantage is reduction of the possibility of metabolic disturbance occurrence observed in the case of prediabetes. Of course, we shouldn’t exaggerate with this warm scent spice. Coumarin, an ingredient of cinnamon, in excess amounts can cause liver damage.

2. Cayenne pepper

This type of pepper contains an active component capsaicin, which gives piquant flavor and makes it number one natural ingredient that can stimulate the nervous system to raise the body temperature. If you are not a fan of hot spices, you can consume this useful ingredient in a pill form.

3. Black pepper

With salt, pepper is the most common spice. Even the least ambitious cooks have it in their kitchen. These milled black pellets improve digestion and stimulate absorption of nutritional ingredients. Their main ingredient piperine, responsible for the peppery taste of this spice, is speeding up metabolism. To exploit this useful feature of pepper in greatest extent, it is best to use freshly milled pepper.

4. Mustard seeds

Like all other spices on this list, mustard seeds are speeding up metabolism. Just a few hours after eating a meal, metabolic rate is increasing by 20 to 25 percent, which means that from 750 calories in one meal 45 are burned.

5. Ginger

Besides pronounced diuretic features, this lumpy root is also called "tonic" for the entire digestive system. It enhances digestion and food processing in the stomach, and acts as a strong antiseptic that balances the intestinal flora.

Juicy food for passionate hugs

Some common groceries, besides raising your energy, can improve and your libido. Include aphrodisiacs in your diet and enjoy and after the meal.

It's no secret that everyday stress and chronic fatigue have a negative effect on our libido. But, there is hope, because what we eat, definitely plays an important role in our sexual appetite. Some common groceries, not only that can increase your energy levels, they can increase and your libido. Enjoyment in food that has aphrodisiac features can be turned into an experiment that will have "juicy" results in your sex life. All you need to do is to include these products into your weekly diet, and then reap the fruits of your investment.

MONDAY: Celery

These green stalks are rich in androsterone, hormones that are present in male sweat and which "turn-on" women. Sauté celery in olive oil and chopped onion, and add a sprig of thyme. Cook for twenty minutes until the liquid in which the celery is stewing completely evaporates. When it is finished, you can serve it with lamb or other meats on the grill.

TUESDAY: Avocado

In Aztec culture, avocado tree was known as the "testicle tree". Its fruits are rich in vitamin B6, which increases the secretion of male hormones. Roast the chicken breast on the pan, slice the meat and roll in it slices of avocado, sweet corn, a little bit of chilli, tomato and coriander.

WEDNESDAY: Figs

Figs are rich in amino acids that are improving sexual endurance, and, like it is believed, libido. When figs are roasted on the grill, natural fig juice becomes sweeter. Cut them in half, roast the them in a pan and then cover them with low-fat yogurt, honey and sesame seeds.

THURSDAY: Garlic

Although your breath will not be adorable, garlic is rich in allicin, which increases blood flow to the genitals. Make gazpacho: chop and whisk tomato, cucumber, onion, red pepper and one clove of garlic with a piece of bread, water and oil until you get a creamy mass.

FRIDAY: Oysters

Oysters are the classic aphrodisiac. They are rich in zinc, which helps produce sperm, and testosterone and dopamine, hormones that increase libido. If you do not like raw oysters, mix herbs and bread crumbs with a little mustard, lemon and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the mixture over the oysters and cook them on grill until shells turn golden.

“Translate” your hunger

What we want to eat and what we really need to eat is not always in line - learn what it truly means when you want to eat chocolate, cheese, meat, popcorn…

There isn’t a person who hasn’t at least once felt the need for a certain type of food. To understand the hunger for ice cream, chocolate, fried potatoes and similar foods is not always easy. It often happens that what we want to eat has nothing to do with what we need to eat, because our body is looking for something else.

If you can understand what your body lacks and craves for (provided that this hunger is not emotionally motivated), it will be easier for you to reach the heart of the problem (increased need for specific food) and solve it.

The first advice is that, before you decide to satisfy your hunger (for any kind of food), you drink a full glass of water. Most experts believe that people sometimes simply don’t know that they have dehydrated, so they think that they need a few bites.

If water doesn’t satisfy you, here's what Michelle Schoffro Cook advises, an internationally acclaimed author and doctor of natural medicine, in her book "The Life Force Diet".

Chocolate

If you want to eat a lot of chocolate, it does not mean that your body wants chocolate. Chocolate is rich in magnesium. So, you are missing magnesium.

Eat a small amount of dark chocolate or make a cocoa shake. Eat nuts, seeds, fish and leafy vegetables.

Salty food

Popcorn and chips - if you're hankering for them (in excessive extent) you probably have disturbed levels of stress hormones. The first step, therefore, is dealing with stress. Meditate, practice breathing and use other relaxation techniques.

After that, eat leafy vegetables, and ingest high-quality vitamin B complex and vitamin C in your organism.

Sweets (all kinds)

Your blood sugar levels are disrupted or the fluctuations in their levels are drastic. Whether it is a chronic or occasional occurrence, it is important to restore the balance with proper choice of food. Enjoyment in candies, cakes, and other sweets will only create bigger problems.

Instead, eat some fruit. Then, beans or peas and complex carbohydrates like whole grains.

Cheese or pizza

If you want to eat cheese or pizza, it usually means that you have a lack of fatty acids - which is very common for most people.

Eat raw nuts, then salmon and flax seed. Also, eat anything that contains a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids. Skip cheese.

Red meat

A lack of iron. Women during their cycle usually crave for burgers, steaks and other grilled meats.

Eat peas, legume, plums, figs and other dried fruits. Vitamin C improves the intake of iron into the body, so combine them - eat lemons, red peppers, tomatoes and berries.

8 groceries for better sleep

A good night’s rest regenerates our body and helps us feel and act better the next day. However, how can someone calm himself after a hard and stressful day, relax his muscles and fall asleep? Well, take a bite of something!

Are you still following your mother's advice and drink a cup of warm milk before going to bed? If you do, you are making a big mistake. Did you know that this drink is actually keeping you awake? In fact, the proteins in milk stimulate wakefulness, and the fat is slowing your digestion. That means that milk could interrupt your rest.

Hence, is there some food that could help you sleep?  Yes, there is. But only a bite or two because overeating before bedtime will not help you in this matter.

Have a look at eight proven groceries that can relax your body, calm your nerves and slow down rapid brainwork.

1. Low-fat popcorn

Half an hour before bedtime, eat some popcorn. Carbohydrates will stimulate the body to release serotonin, which will then relax the body. But leave out the fat, because fatty popcorn will slow down your digestion and the secretion of serotonin.

2. Oatmeal and banana

The hormone melatonin stimulates sleep, but stress and excitement can interfere with the release of melatonin. A combination of oatmeal and bananas will open the way for melatonin.

3 and 4. A cup of yogurt and two tablespoons of ground nuts

In a recent research, scientists from Slovakia gave to one group of people three grams of amino acids (lysine and arginine) and to the other, placebo. After that, the scientists asked them to deliver a speech. Levels of stress hormones revealed that speakers who received amino acids were half as anxious during and after the speech than those who took placebo.  Yogurt is one of the best sources of lysine, and nuts are very rich in arginine

5. Sesame seeds

Sesame is one of the best natural sources of tryptophan, an amino acid that stimulates sleep. However, do not overdo it – it could disrupt your digestion. It would be best if you take a few teaspoons of sesame seeds, grind them, and then eat them with yogurt.

6. Few pretzels

Pretzels are a source of carbohydrates, which can make you fall asleep. They also contain very few calories and fat, and thus will not make you gain weight or cause difficult digestion.

7. Deciliter of unsweetened cherry juice

Cherry juice contains carbohydrates that stimulate the secretion of serotonin. Drink it an hour before going to bed. Do not overdo it because your blood sugar levels could increase, and that would create an opposite effect.

8. Red peppers

Scientists at the University of Alabama did a research in which they were giving 200 mg of vitamin C to rats, twice a day.  They discovered that during this experiment they almost stopped the secretion of cortisol, a stress hormone, in rats.  Red peppers are richer in vitamin C than most other vegetables and fruits. With enough vitamin C, you will strengthen your heart and protect your body from possible cancer attack and Alzheimer's disease.

Food can be dangerous

Due to frequent cases of food asphyxiation of children, American doctors demand that on products like popcorn and hot dogs a warning label is placed that warns about the risk.

Labels and signs, warning that some toys can be dangerous for children because they can swallow them or even to suffocate with them, became common and legally prescribed method for avoiding tragedies in many countries of the world.  However, such regulations do not yet exist for hazardous food.

In July 2006, Texan Patrick Hale made popcorn in a microwave for his children and sat with them to watch TV. When he stood for a moment to change the channel, he heard some strange sound. He turned and saw his two-year-old daughter Alison choking and changing color.

He tried to dislodge the popcorn with blows to her back and finger swipes down her throat, but he failed. He called the ambulance, but it was too late. When Alison arrived at the hospital, her heart had already stopped beating.  An autopsy showed that she inhaled pieces of popcorn in trachea and lungs.

Legal regulation just like for toys

American Academy of Pediatrics believes that it is time to change the law. They point out that food should be subjected to the same criteria that are applied on toys.  They are asking now from the government to introduce labels for food that has been proven to be hazardous.

You have a SuperBall that, by government regulation, has to carry warnings telling people it’s a risk to young children and you can’t market it to them, yet you can have the same identical shape and size gumball and there are no restrictions or requirements,” said Dr. Gary Smith, director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

The Academy also urges manufacturers to redesign the most dangerous food products, especially hot dogs, which are at the very top of the chart of hazardous food.

This initiative many ridiculed on the Internet and suggested that parents themselves reshape hot dogs by simply cutting them in small pieces. The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council stated that they will not redesign a thing.

However, food designer Eugene D. Gagliardi Jr., has shown that it is possible to do some small and positive changes. His new hot dogs look like ordinary, however, when opened and cooked, they break apart into eight slices that are easy to swallow.

The most vulnerable are the youngest

In 2001, about 17,500 children 14 and younger were treated in emergency departments for choking, and 60 percent of the episodes were caused by food. In 2000, 160 children died from an obstruction of the respiratory tract. Children younger than 4 are at the highest risk.

Pediatricians are reminding that children are developing the ability to properly chew and prepare food for swallowing between their third and fourth year. Some U.S. manufacturers of hot dogs have put labels with warnings on their products, on their own initiative. But pediatricians say that such initiatives are not enough and that such a thing must be obligatory with new legislation.

Unusual Restaurants

Throughout the world, there are many restaurants with original, but somewhat eerie atmosphere. In some of them, food is served at the cemetery, in the toilet, in a coffin, in complete darkness, in the air...

Throughout the world, there are many unusual and original restaurants, in which even visitors themselves shudder a little. Restaurant owners are doing everything they can to attract customers, even if it is shocking, scary or bizarre. In Paris, London, Moscow and New York you can eat in complete darkness, in Ukraine in the coffin, in Japan in the church, in Taiwan in a modern toilet, and in India at the cemetery.

Most of these restaurants are quite expensive. However, despite prices and the atmosphere, these restaurants are mostly full, and tables must be reserved even a whole month earlier.

1. Enjoy your meal in complete darkness

Dans le noir” in French means "in the dark" and these words literally describe the atmosphere in the same restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, all mobile phones, lighters and anything that can give light must be disposed. Food is ordered, and eaten, in total darkness. Waiters and waitresses wear special glasses for seeing in the dark in order to serve guests. The purpose of this unusual atmosphere is to enjoy the meal relying primarily on the senses of taste and smell. One of the good things of such restaurants is that they are socially responsible because they are employing blind and partially sighted people. Also, a guest of such restaurant does not know who is sitting next to him, so he can talk to that person without fear and everyday prejudice about his appearance. Besides Paris, such restaurants exist in Moscow, London, New York and Barcelona.

2. Dinner in a coffin

In a town called Truskavets, in Ukraine, there is a restaurant called "Eternity" and it is in the shape of a coffin.  It is a work of a funeral parlour and it is built with hope that this restaurant will be confirmed as the biggest coffin in the world and thus attract tourists. Truskavets is located near the Polish border and this region is known for its mineral-rich bathing waters.   This restaurant is 20 meters long, 6 meters wide and 6 meters high. The bizarre shape of the restaurant clearly indicates how the interior looks like - It is decorated with wreaths and dozens of normal-sized coffins.  Restaurant guests can choose funeral jewelry and accessories for the dead before they order a meal from the menu, which is also in a certain way associated with death. Salads, which are named “Seven Day” and “Forty Day”, are named after local (Orthodox) mourning rituals. Single candles on the tables contribute to the funereal mood.

3. Dinner in the sky

Dinner in the sky is for very rich people who expect more than the usual restaurant with four walls and a solid floor. Instead, in this heavenly restaurant, guests and the table are hanging in the air suspended by a crane. Prices in the menu are targeting only those with deep pockets. Restaurant in the sky was originally set up in Brussels in Belgium, but the rich people now have the opportunity to dine at these restaurants and over other cities across Europe and the world.

4. Hobbit House

This restaurant is located in Manila, Philippines. There are a number of bizarre restaurants and nightclubs on this island, but one of the most interesting is the "Hobbit House". Guests of this restaurant are served by midgets. This is the only restaurant in the world in which the entire staff is made of little people. The interior is decorated to remind of Shire, a region from Tolkien's trilogy Lord of the Rings, where the Hobbits live. It is especially known for its variety of live music and performances every night.

5. Christon Café

In the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan, Christianity is a religion which is favored by only one percent of its population, but that was not an obstacle for opening a restaurant “Christon Café” there. The interior looks like a church, and it is filled with many religious items, icons, statues of saints and an altar. But this place is not intended for believers. Café, that is famous for cocktails such as "Small Devil" and "Joan of Arc", provides to its guests and some special services. One of them is, if the customer wants intimacy, like the one in the confessional, he gets a booth isolated with red velvet.

6. Dine in the toilet

Modern Toilet is a restaurant in Taiwan that is, as its name implies, designed to make guests feel like in the toilet. Instead of the classic chairs, guests sit on approximately 100 stylized toilet bowls that are decorated with pictures of roses and various other flowers. Food is eaten on tables that are made from sinks or bathtubs with glass placed over them. Meals are served in miniature toilet bowls, and drinks in something that most closely resembles urinals and which the guests of this restaurant are keeping as a souvenir. Dessert in this restaurant looks like something we are sending away with water in the toilet. According to the owner, Eric Wang, this restaurant is designed to shock and confuse guest’s senses. "We not only sell food but also laughter. The food is just as good as any restaurant but we offer additional fun. Most customers think the more disgusting and exaggerated (the restaurant is), the funnier the dining experience is." The meals are cheaply priced with a meal set including soup and ice cream costs from 150 to 250 Taiwan dollars ($6 - $10).

7. Hitler's Cross

This restaurant opened in 2006 in Bombay.  This name actually refers to the swastika, a sacred symbol in Buddhism and Hinduism, but since its adoption by Adolf Hitler as a symbol of German National Socialist Workers' Party, many still think that it is only a symbol of Aryan.  Although the restaurant owner claims that his goal was not to promote Hitler and the Nazi party, at the entrance was a portrait of Hitler, and the walls were painted in white, black and red. After complaints from governments of Germany and Israel, and Jewish communities in Bombay, the restaurant changed its name to "Cross Cafe" and the swastika was replaced with colorful ribbons, while the portrait of Hitler was removed.

8. New luck at the cemetery

New Lucky Restaurant in Ahmadabad, India is famous for its milky tea, delicious buttery rolls and graves and monuments between the tables.  Its owner Krishan Kutti Nair built this restaurant on the centuries-old Muslim cemetery, without knowing who is buried underneath the restaurant’s floor. The customers, however, liked these monuments, that look like small shrines. After the invasion on his restaurant, Kutti Nair said that cemeteries bring good luck. His business is now booming thanks to the cemetery. The graves are painted green and the manager decorates them each day with withered flowers. They are placed randomly throughout the restaurant - one is near the cash register, three in the middle next to the table for two, and four next to the kitchen wall.
